TEAM FORMATION:

Our #1 goal in team formations is to ensure balanced teams while also trying to accommodate Head Coach and Parent requests.  This unique approach allows friends to play with friends.  Head coaches can request an impact player/friend AND a low-impact player/friend to be on his/her team.  Parents can request a friend to be paired up with.  We will try our best to accommodate requests but NO guarantees.

Winter 2022 Season

FRESHMAN DIVISION

GRADES: Kinder/1st

* Beginning 1/16, all show up on Sundays at 3:00 pm for a 1/2-hour practice.  We will put the kids thru age appropriate skills and drills for the thirty minutes with several water breaks.

* After the 1/2-hour "practice", we will divide the group into 2 teams USC and UCLA and play half a regular FNL game (2 quarters) with FNL rules and OFFICIAL FNL REFEREES.  This will take place at roughly 3:30 pm.  We will rotate the teams around each week so that there are not set teams and the kids can be on the same team with other kids each week.  We have run this structure multiple times for this age group and has proved to be a great experience for the kids! CDMHS Varsity coach Ryan Ketcham will facilitate the program with any interested volunteer coaches.

2ND/3RD/4TH DIVISION

GRADES: 2ND/3RD/4TH

* Your coach will be in contact with you around January 10.  Practices will be an hour before your games starting 1/16.   Schedules will be posted on the website on the Wednesday before 1st game.

Games will be at either 3:00pm or 4:00pm at Corona Del Mar HS.

  • SAME FNL RULES
  • NON-CONTACT = REDUCED INJURIES
  • 6V6 WITH 7-8 PLAYER ROSTERS

SENIOR DIVISION

GRADES: 5TH/6TH/7TH/8TH

* Beginning 1/16, all show up on Sundays for a 4:00 pm Skills workout and competition.  Skills and competition will be facilitated by OC Elite founder Kevin Morton and Corona Del Mar Varsity coach Ryan Ketcham

* After skills workout, kids will be divided into AFC and NFC teams and play half a regular FNL game (2 quarters) with FNL rules and OFFICIAL FNL REFEREES.    We will rotate the teams around each week so that there are not set teams and the kids can be on the same team with other kids each week.  We have run this structure multiple times for this age group and has proved to be a great experience for the kids!

We are really looking forward to getting this group together and watching them make progress both on and off the field.
